THURSDAY 18/03/10 Second Chance Tournament SUPER SATURDAY SATELLITE

Usual NINE table tournament with fifteen players waiting. Everyone eventually playing after a couple of levels replacing the usual early 'all-in merchants'. A 'Free Seat' bounty was put on Alvaro's 'Carabela' head, much to everyones delight. About half way through the tournament he went all-in on a bluff and was immediately called by Inma, who's ACE-KING kicked him out of the game to loud applause from everyone else.

VERDICT: Great game with lots of laughter tonight and the whole final table (including the Bubble Boy) winning seats to the SUPER SATURDAY TOURNAMENT this weekend.

SATURDAY 20/03/10 SUPER SATURDAY TOURNAMENT

An excellent Super Saturday game with eight tables. Angel Fish Sharon did it again! Pocket KINGS against Fede's Pocket ACES ...and of course, a KING on the flop and a KING on the river. Best dressed players were Carlos Del Pozo and Antonio G, with the first looking like an extra from 'Miami Vice' and the second looking like a 'Mafia Boss'.

I managed to play properly for most of the tournament, gradually increasing my chips up to a respectable 65,000. I got ACE-QUEEN in the hole and made an 8,000 bet. Simon Booth from 'Gib' thought about it for a minute then went ALL-IN. I didn't believe him and called the all-in bet. Simon turned over ACE-TEN. We both hit the FLOP with SIX-QUEEN-TEN, then it all went horribly wrong for me with another TEN on the turn and I was history.

The luckiest player was INAKI M. who just squeeeeezed into the final table money. With two tables left and only six players on each, he went ALL-IN at the same time as three players on the other table. The other table lost two players about ONE MINUTE before he was knocked out, making him the tenth man down and in the money.

As you would expect with everyone on the final table in the money it was very aggressive with plenty of all-ins. The first six players fell quickly, with the final four agreeing to split the pot.

VERDICT: Another successful Super Saturday.
